"Recruiting: Priests (1 Holy & 1 Shadow)"

Jesters is the top raiding guild on the Silvermoon (US) server and we are currently recruiting two full-time raiders. These are not reserve positions and therefore we ask that you are geared to a level that allows you to contribute immediately in Sunwell. You should have a good amount of raid experience and come with a positive attitude about conquering new content. We are a hard working progression focused guild that has raided together since September 2005, offering a stable home for dedicated players. Before you apply, please understand that we are looking for adult gamers who are able to play at a high level and understand the level of commitment required in a hardcore raid setting.

Sunwell Full-time Openings:

(1) T6 Priest (Holy)

(1) T6 Priest (Shadow)

Lich King Openings:

We are developing our roster plans for Lich King and are considering exceptional applications from all classes who would like to join our team. Given that we expect some re-rolls, there will be opportunities for classes that may currently be closed for Sunwell recruiting. "M'uru has gone offline."

427452 02:37'58.360 Snookums's Bite hits Entropius for 96 Physical
427456 02:37'58.657 Entropius dies

The M'uru encounter is far and away the pinnacle of precision raiding up to this point. This is a fight that will let you know the skill and commitment level of your raid team. For our guild, the M'uru journey was longer than I had anticipated and filled with potholes that we never would have imagined along the way. In the end however it left me as proud as I have ever been of this guild and truly humbled at the dedication of our team.

At times it seemed that we were cursed, because every time we established consistency on the fight, we were dogged with a setback that was out of our control. Tanking consistency on this fight is fairly critical in phase one and yet the real-life and Internet gods continued to strike our tanking roster gleefully every week. I firmly believe that if we had not been hounded so violently by inopportune problems that we would have defeated M'uru weeks ago (even before the hit point reduction in the last patch). Unlike other fights you simply cannot plug a hole with another person without suffering a learning curve setback.

What is truly amazing however is that not one player quit in frustration, not one Jester said "I've had enough." M'uru is the Destroyer of Guilds, but our guild stood stoic in the face of some of the most frustrating raiding b.s. imaginable and said "Thank you sir, I'll have another." We never had an attendance issue, every raider showed up every night ready to go even when they knew we had a new tank to train or a key person with a flakey connection. I always say to recruits, "We're too stubborn to quit." and M'uru was as well the pinnacle of our stubbornness. We all knew we could kill him; all we needed was the opportunity

This fight has strengthened us beyond imagine. It has made me a better raid leader and already taught me some things that I will carry forward into Lich King. I think Blizzard made a near perfect fight and if anything, the biggest failure of M'uru was that the bosses that preceded him in Burning Crusade were too easy. I hope Blizzard addresses the palpable connection problems in Sunwell for future raid zones, even though many of our problems occurred with client issues that were resolved over time by troubleshooting.

I would like to thank every Jester for participating in our journey to defeating M'uru and especially those that spent a fair amount of time on the sidelines due to the punishing class mix requirements of the fight. Your efforts farming and otherwise being supportive were equally important to our success.

Onward to KJ!

"#5: Double Goatburger Value Meal"

[Grip of Mannoroth] [Bracers of the Forgotten Conqueror]

Once again, another well designed Sunwell encounter that really puts raid healing to the test. There is a ton of raid damage to deal with and several "x-factors" that can quickly trainwreck an attempt. Not to mention the Phase 1 Ledge Boss that puts the SSC Elevator Boss to shame. For the record, we opted for the "Reverse Twins" order, or Sacrolash first.

So far, my biggest complaint about Sunwell is the amount of raid re-balancing needed for some of these fights. Bring in 11-12 healers (the more Shammies the better) for the Twins, then 5-6 for M'uru! We've already started to recruit more DPS to meet the M'uru threshold. As one of our officers said, "You almost have to staff up for a 40 man guild to run Sunwell effectively." We're not going that far, but Sunwell has taught us the value of a deep and talented pool of Shammies... *cough*, sorry, all classes!

"Dispelled."

Felmyst is the type of boss you equally love and hate. You love that Blizzard designed a difficult boss that pushes the entire raid to near perfection, while you hate when one slip up can derail an otherwise excellent attempt. The tuning here is spot on even as the fight can go from almost peaceful to chaotic depending on how she strings her abilities and targets. Definately the biggest challenge of Sunwell so far, onward to the Twins!
