The Jesters were formed in September, 2006, from the dedicated raiders of another guild, which had been tearing through raid instances successfully for over a year before that. We share a common vision to be the most successful raiding guild on Silvermoon, where success isn't just measured by progression, but by the attitude and friendships that bond the team. Our name reflects the spirit of fun that we wish to carry with us as we push forward in challenging and sometimes frustrating content.

To be a Jester means to care about being the best and wanting to support your team in any way you can. It means treating others in the guild and the community (yes, even the Hordies :p ) with respect, because behind every character there is a real-life person (except Gnomes). If your thrill comes from the loot-links after a boss kill more than the kill itself, then you are probably not a Jester. We are a team and a family, driven to succeed at whatever challenges Blizzard throws our way.

Prior to the Burning Crusade expansion, we worked our way through Molten Core, Blackwing Lair, Temple of Ahn'Qiraj (AQ40), and Naxxramas through Grobbulus (at which time the expansion hit). Many of the Alliance guilds which were in AQ40 when Naxx was added rushed off to that new content, but we felt it important to finish what we had started, and we remained to defeat C'Thun before hitting the new instance, becoming only the second guild Alliance-side to defeat C'Thun. To this day, we are extremely proud of our accomplishment there.

We had a several-month break from raiding after the release of BC, and started later than probably all of the serious raiding guilds on this server, downing Gruul in late May, 2007, yet we rose back to the very top of Silvermoon raiding, clearing all of SSC, TK, Mt. Hyjal, and finally Black Temple on December 23rd, 2007. That made us far-and-away the fastest progressing raid guild on our server, and we attribute that to our relentless pursuit of excellence, our top-notch recruiting, our never-give-up attitude, and our hands-on team of raid administrators, each of which has earned their position and contributes actively to our success. We have recently entered "farm mode" for the first time, and we hope to relax a bit before Sunwell Plateau is released.

Our membership is composed of primarily older (somewhat more mature*cough*) raiders, and we pride ourselves on our relaxed but dedicated atmosphere. We are always on the lookout for talented gamers with similar goals and a positive outlook to join our team and move ever-forward-and-upward with us :D
