It really has been a whirlwind final few days as we approach the launch of Lich King. The guild has been overwhelmed with some of the best applications we have ever received and we were able to extend offers to a handful of pro players that we expect to compete hard once we start raiding in Lich King. This will enhance an already strong team that finished BC with a Top 100 US ranking.
I would like to thank everyone that applied to Jesters, and there are some of you that I certainly will reach out to in the future as openings emerge. It is challenging when you have more good players applying than you have room for, and we hope that some of you that barely missed the cut due to overcapacity will be able to join in the future. As such, we are now pausing proactive recruiting for all classes. We are still accepting applications and will review and talk to folks, but the opportunities to join as a trial are very limited at this point. Don't be scared away by that statement if you truly feel you are among the best.
As Lich King approaches we are positioning ourselves for a Top 50 Arthas kill. Leveling expectations have been set, 25 man raids are already planned and the guild is highly motivated and energized to get started. Stay tuned for updates as we tear through this expansion!

Jesters is conducting a final recruiting push before the expansion to locate up to two more players to add to our already strong roster. Our focus is finding people who are highly motivated to do whatever is needed to be at the leading edge of raiding. We are currently a Top 100 US guild that is 6/6 SWP (pre 3.0) and have set aggressive goals for Lich King.
What we look for
It goes without saying that you should be an exceptional gamer with quick reflexes and a thorough understanding of your class. While everyone makes mistakes, we expect them to be corrected quickly. You should also have real raid experience, and while it does not need to match ours exactly, it should be at a Tier 6 level (pre 3.0). Gear is really not really a big issue pre expansion.
The most important thing you need to understand is that we are a progression obsessed guild. We do not linger in farm content when there is new content that requires learning. We joke that we have the exact opposite problem from most guilds, everyone volunteers to sit for farm content but nobody wants to sit on progression nights. When a new raid instance is released, you should expect that we will devote all our raid time to defeating it.
Some final notes; we are looking for mature adult players who are not high maintenance and are not prone to acting like the kid in trade chat. Drama is never tolerated.
What we offer
You WILL have a chance to raid if you are a good player regardless of tenure, and you will be given every opportunity to show us that you are worthy of a spot on our team. No Jester is entitled a raid spot due to seniority; every raid spot is earned through exceptional play. New members are not second class citizens in this guild.
You are applying to a guild that has weathered every storm that has been thrown at it and laughed. We are stubborn in our resolve to defeat bosses and we simply do not give up. The guild has had consistent raid leadership and vision for over three years and if you are tired of bouncing from failing guild to failing guild, you will appreciate the stability we offer.
We have a well developed DKP system but the honest truth is that once a boss dies you most often see people passing for others who may need an item more. Loot is never the focus; we cheer the death of the boss not the loot that drops afterwards.
If you are reviewing our guild roster, please note that since we have been together for so long we have a large number of retired raiders and friends in the guild that are not part of the active raid team (not to mention alts). Do not be discouraged if you see 10 people in your class, it may very well be that only one is on the raid team.
Class Needs
Generally speaking we are looking for between one to three more players for Lich King. We review every application and will recruit players who blow us away even if the class feels like it is full, but please note the following as the applications that will draw the highest interest:
(1) Restoration Shaman
(1) Holy Paladin
(1) Rogue, Mage or Hunter
If your class is not listed above, but you are interested, please submit an application, great players are always appreciated.
Typical Raid Times
Monday - Thursday 6 pm PST - 10 pm PST
Sunday 4 pm PST - 9 pm PST
